Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for founders ready to build together.

Everything you need to know about joining the network, meeting through a local hub and staying connected across Africa.

01

Getting started

Who the network is for and what happens when you apply.

Who is Founders Link for?

Founders Link is for entrepreneurs who have moved beyond the idea stage, have an MVP or operating business and are actively building a startup or company. It is designed for founders who want to grow while contributing to a trusted network.

Can I join if I only have an idea?

Not yet. The network is built for founders who already have an MVP in the market or an operating business. You do not need to have everything figured out, but you do need to be building.

How do I apply?

Complete the Founders Link application with clear information about you, your company, its current stage and your local context. The application helps the team understand your fit with the network.

What happens after I apply?

Your application is reviewed for alignment with the network’s founder stage and values. Selected founders receive the next steps for membership and connection to their local hub.

02

Membership

Access, pricing and what your membership includes.

What does membership cost?

The standard membership is $100 per year. For the network’s first year, selected founders receive one year of full access without a membership fee.

What is included in the free first year?

The founding offer includes the same core access: your founder profile, the digital network, direct messaging, founder updates, local hub experiences and cross-hub connection. It is not a reduced trial membership.

What does membership give me access to?

Members can create a founder profile, discover and message people across the network, share company updates and join the Roundtable, Show & Tell and annual hub gathering.

Is Founders Link a directory?

No. A directory shows who exists; Founders Link is designed to help members actually know one another. Profiles make discovery easier, while hubs and recurring experiences create the context and trust behind useful relationships.

03

Local hubs

How city-based communities create trusted offline connection.

What is a Founders Link hub?

A hub is a physical, city-based community where members meet regularly, build relationships and have conversations that are difficult to have in larger or more public settings.

Is there more than one hub in a city?

The model is one Founders Link hub serving each city. That gives founders a consistent local community while the digital network connects every hub into one wider network.

Is each hub limited to ten founders?

No. Hubs are intentionally curated to protect the quality of the experience, but membership is not defined by an arbitrary or fixed ten-person limit.

Which cities currently have hubs?

The pilot begins in Nigeria, with hubs opening across cities and states as the network grows. Accra, Nairobi, Kigali, Johannesburg and other cities shown on the site describe the longer-term continental vision.

Future vision, not current hubs: a city appearing in the expansion story does not mean its hub is already operating.

What happens inside a hub?

Members return for curated conversations, useful feedback, product and project showcases, and relaxed opportunities to deepen relationships with other founders in their local ecosystem.

04

Founder experiences

Three recurring formats, each with a clear purpose.

What events do members attend?

The network is built around three experiences: a quarterly founder Roundtable, a quarterly Show & Tell, and an annual Hub Dinner or Cocktail in each local hub.

What happens at the Quarterly Roundtable?

Founders come together for candid conversation and shared perspective on the issues shaping their businesses and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem. There is no pitching and no performance.

What is the Quarterly Show & Tell?

Members open up products, projects, launches and initiatives they are actively building, followed by thoughtful questions, useful feedback and conversation.

What is the annual Hub Dinner or Cocktail?

It is a relaxed evening for each hub to strengthen relationships, welcome new members and celebrate the founders and companies building within its community.

05

The digital network

How relationships continue beyond a room or a city.

What can I do on the Founders Link app?

You can create your founder profile, discover members across cities and industries, send direct messages, find relevant mentors and investors, and follow what other founders are building.

Can I connect with founders outside my city?

Yes. Your hub gives you a trusted local base, while the digital network lets you discover and connect with members across other Founders Link hubs.

What can members share?

Members can share launches, milestones, new projects, partnerships, invitations, opportunities, community initiatives and other meaningful updates from their companies.

Can I find mentors and investors through the network?

The platform helps members discover experienced operators, mentors and investors within the network and start relevant conversations. Membership creates access to relationships; it does not guarantee mentorship, funding or investment.

Is Founders Link only for founders in Nigeria?

No. Nigeria is the starting point, not the boundary. The network is designed to connect founders across African cities, industries and borders as new hubs open.
